Bet on MMA with Bitcoin: UFC on Fox 21

bitcoinist_mma

Only one week after the legendary Diaz vs. McGregor rematch at UFC 202, it’s time to go at it again. As always, bitcoin remains the best way to bet on sports, including MMA. Let’s take a look at some of the fights.

UFC on Fox 21 Bitcoin Betting Picks

UFC Fight Night Vancouver features the return of Paige VanZant after taking time off for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, as well as Anthony Pettis’ first fight in the featherweight division. To round out the main card is the rematch of Jim Miller vs. Joe Lauzon in a three-round battle.

Carlos Condit vs. Demian Maia

Maia is on a five-fight win streak. He is regarded as the best MMA grappler of all time, making him a fighter you don’t want to be with on the ground.

In the first two rounds, he will have an advantage on the ground. If he cannot submit Condit in the first two rounds, I can see Condit winning the fight. Condit is excellent at footwork and movement, and is going to have an advantage on the feet. Condit has a broad range of strikes that are not easy to see coming. He is also good at following a game plan and sticking to it.

In the later rounds we could see Maia slowing down and Condit still fresh. I’m going with Condit to get the win; current odds are around 1.80.

Paige VanZant vs. Bec Rawlings

After a loss to Namajunas, and being on Dancing with the Stars, VanZant is finally back to fighting.

VanZant has good striking, but as we saw in her fight Namajunas, she could still improve her technique. She uses a head and arm judo throw out of the clinch, which she has had some success with, but it is a roll of the dice almost every time she goes for it. Often, the other fighter can land on top or take her back, and she is forced to scramble. She is good at using a volume of strikes, either top position or in scrambles to overwhelm her opponents.

Bec Rawlings likes to use her striking and stand in the pocket with her opponents. She has some power in her hands and is willing to brawl. If VanZant is not able to get her to the ground, it could be a close fight on the feet.

Is VanZant ready for a brawl after her extended break? I like the prop bet Bec Rawlings cards no bet 3.00 which is a push (get your money back), if the fight goes the distance. If this goes to the judges, put your tinfoil hats on and expect VanZant to get the win.

Joe Lauzon vs. Jim Miller

This is a rematch of a legendary fight. These are two of the toughest fighters in the UFC, both well known for their finishes and fight of the night awards.

In the last fight four years ago, Miller won via three round decision as Lauzon went for a submission at the bell.

That was four years ago. In the meantime, both fighters are coming off first round finishes at UFC 200. The odds started even and have moved to place Miller as a slight underdog. Lauzon has the advantage in the submissions department, while Miller has better wrestling. Standing, they are pretty even and willing to trade in this lefty vs. orthodox match up.

I’m going with the under 2.5 rounds for 2.00. This time around these guys is going to get a finish.

I skipped Pettis vs. Oliveria — let’s see how Pettis looks at featherweight. There are also two other interesting fights — Casey vs. Alvey and Gouti vs. Laprise. Will this free UFC on Fox card stack up to UFC 202?
